Taxidermy Information
Customer info cards/invoices
- found in metal file case on table in showroom
- invoice #s (note: these #s are not consecutive as some customers have already
picked up these items)
- also a few customer cards/invoices in wooden file box on shelf near TV in shop
- most accurate and up to date info is found on 5” X 8” card, not yellow invoice
- Expenses (in blue ink & are listed on back or bottom of card) = $$ already spent for
work &/or supplies and should be charged to the customer
- If returning item(s) to customer, they should get their hide, cape or frozen animal
(birds) as well as the forms, eyes &/or ears back plus any $$ they deposited in excess
of the costs listed under expenses
Forms
Have their customer # written on them in black marker
- Bear --- forms are in attic above garage to house
- Foxes, Coyotes, Bobcats, Otter, etc -- forms are in attic above garage to house
- Deer --- forms are in attic above garage (far end from ladder)
- Birds -- forms in yellow cabinet closest to pencil sharpener
Supplies
Eyes - in small cardboard box in cabinet above WD-40
or (small & bird eyes) in plastic box near shop light switch
Ears - (mostly) deer - in 2 yellow cabinets above shop door
Bases artificial rocks, etc --- are in attic above garage to house
Tanned capes/hides
deer capes (each labeled with customer name & #) -IN taxidermy freezer
Bear & some of MY African animals - in boxes (cardboard & plastic containers) in attic
above garage
Also a few tanned hides (coyotes, otter, bear, etc) labeled &hanging in showroom
MY African capes & a few extra capes - in taxidermy & bottom of food freezer
Birds, small animals, etc
Frozen (most are whole) in taxidermy freezer
Antlers
Deer antlers - hanging (labeled) from garage ceiling. Note: some customers have their
antlers at home
Skulls (mostly bear)
wrapped in bubble wrap in blue crate on old ping pong tabletop in garage
also contains a few tanned deer tails
Any of my mounts, African forms, horns, capes & hides are worth a fair bit of $$.
